Information you provide
Expensetrackly processes the account details you provide, such as your name, email address, and preferred currency, along with the financial records you enter. These records may include transactions, categories, budgets, savings goals, debts, recurring entries, and uploaded receipts or attachments.
How information is used
Your information is used to operate your account, display and manage your records, generate reports and insights, support authentication and account recovery, and respond to support requests. If you contact us by email, your message and the details you include are used to handle your request.
Browser storage
The app uses your browser's local storage to remember authentication tokens, basic account information, and your theme preference. Signing out removes stored session credentials. You can also clear local storage through your browser settings; doing so may sign you out or reset preferences, but does not delete records stored with your account.
Service connections
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal and financial records with third parties for advertising, marketing, or their own independent use. Your records are used to provide the Expensetrackly features you choose to use.
Service providers may process information on our behalf as needed to operate and support Expensetrackly, such as providing hosting, data storage, or service-related email delivery. This processing supports the operation of the service and does not permit providers to use your personal and financial records for their own advertising, marketing, or independent purposes.
The frontend communicates with the app's server to authenticate your account and manage your records. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which causes your browser to connect to Google's servers. External services handle information under their own privacy policies.
Storage and security
Expensetrackly is built with security measures designed to protect your account and financial information, including authenticated access and optional two-step authentication (two-factor authentication, or 2FA). Account and financial records are stored by the service supporting the app.
You can enable authenticator-based 2FA in Account Settings to add an extra layer of protection when signing in. Once enabled, it requires a time-based, one-time code from your authenticator app as part of the sign-in process.
Protect your account credentials, enable 2FA, and sign out on shared devices. While these measures help secure your information, no online service or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You can review and update information through the available app controls. For questions about access, correction, deletion, retention, or how information is handled, email expensetrackly@gmail.com. Verification of account ownership may be needed before an account-related request can be completed.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Send privacy questions to expensetrackly@gmail.com.
